Clients can now easily report payment activity to all three major commercial credit bureaus
Altus Global Trade Solutions (Altus GTS), a full service accounts receivable management agency, has launched its new Trade Data Reporting service. Clients can now report their customers’ payment activity to the three major commercial credit bureaus, Dun & Bradstreet, Experian and Equifax, through Altus’ easy-to-use online portal. This valuable service is offered at no charge to Altus clients.
Reporting trade data provides leverage for Altus clients. When customers are aware their payment activity is being reported, they are less likely to default on a debt. Companies that pay on time are rewarded with positive feedback on credit reports, which improves their credit rating.
“Everyone benefits from reporting payment history,” said Tom Brenan, president at Altus. “Our goal is to strengthen the industry and reporting trade data is a great way to foster accountability and incentive in the marketplace.”
Trade data reporting also reduces credit reference calls, increases cash flow and identifies debtors that still have the ability to pay. Data contributors can better manage their portfolio with complimentary monthly management reports from Experian and collection priority reports.
