Altus Plays Santa Clause for Residents of Raintree House

Hoping to share the joy of the holiday season with the residents of the Raintree House, Altus employees raised donations to provide handpicked gifts for the young women that will remain there on Christmas day. The Raintree House is a community-based group home in New Orleans, providing therapeutic and nurturing care for teenage girls who have been abused or neglected.  Not wanting these residents to be forgotten during the holidays, Altus volunteers will play Santa Claus and deliver gifts on Christmas Eve.

“We want these ladies to feel that they are loved and are not alone, especially on such a day of celebration,” says Altus Outreach Committee (AOC) Chair, Veeda Ledet.

In addition to its work with the Raintree House, the AOC coordinated the Altus Employee Angel Tree program, an annual outreach to help provide gifts for Altus staff members who could use assistance during the holidays.  This year the Altus Angel Tree will be helping 17 employee’s families.

“Giving back to our community is a powerful extension of the character and generosity for which Altus is known,” said Altus President Tom. “When our employees reach out to help others, they demonstrate one of the many reasons why Altus is a worldwide leader in customer service and receivables management.”
