What does our new name and brand mean for our customers?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why have we changed our name and brand?
The decision was made by Natixis, the corporate investment management and financial services arm of Groupe BPCE, and the parent company of both Coface North American Insurance Company, Inc. (Coface) and CCNA.

After a focused strategic and organizational analysis, Natixis recognized significant value and great potential for CCNA as a stand-alone entity.  To accomplish this, Natixis’ executive leadership realigned the corporate structure to streamline reporting and enhance clarity, efficiency and growth.

Coface (CCNA’s former parent company) will now focus solely on credit insurance.

What advantages will customers have as a result of the new brand?
Altus will be a Natixis company and part of an expansive international network with the support of the second-largest banking player via its two networks, Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne (Groupe BPCE). This realignment will enable Altus to provide more focused solutions to our customers.

One of those solutions is our own state of the art website which will serve as a great resource for our clients.

Will Altus continue to carry the accreditations currently earned?
Absolutely! Our team has worked hard to earn our three accreditations and we are extremely proud of our achievements. We have attained and will continue to maintain our certification from the following:

  • Commercial Law League of America (CLLA) of the Commercial Collections Agency Association of CLLA
  • International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC),
  • Type II Certification with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 for meeting rigorous criteria regarding its controls and processes.

This is a major achievement for our team and will continue to be an asset that sets Altus apart from our competitors.

Will Altus’ licensing remain in place?
Yes, Altus will remain licensed and bonded in every required state in the United States and Provinces in Canada and we will continue to carry $300 thousand trust bond as an additional safeguard, and all state bonds.

Will our customers keep the same sales representative?
Yes, absolutely!  Altus’ strongest assets are its employees.  Our customers have forged lasting relationship with their representatives, and we encourage those relationships to continue to strengthen.

Will rates change?
All rates will remain the same.

Will our clients be able to retrieve credit reports?
Yes, Altus is now offering our own customized credit reports and our clients will be able to order them directly from our website. For more information about our information services line, Click HERE.

As a client, you can also login to your account and order your own credit reports directly from our website.

Will Altus still be able to provide the same services under the new brand?
Yes, we will still be able to provide the same services under Altus, but now we will have the support and expansive international network of the second-largest banking player via its two networks, Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne (Groupe BPCE).  Since Coface is also a product line of Natixis, we have a wider support system.

Will Altus be able to provide credit insurance if needed?
CNAIC and Altus will be related sister companies with common ownership.  CCNA will still refer credit insurance needs to CNAIC for servicing.

Can Altus collect internationally?
Yes, absolutely! Our new strategic alignment with our parent company, Natixis, will enhance our ability to collect internationally.  We are better positioned to assist our customers with international accounts.

How will this affect the remits as debtors pay?
There will be no change. All processes and agreements remain in place.

Will you still be able to provide information on my late paying customers?
Yes, Altus will still be able to provide information on late paying customers via our Business Activity Scan the same way as we have in the past. Click HERE for information and to request a Business Activity Scan.

What about our existing contract?  Will that need to be re-done?
No.  CCNA, Inc. is still the legal entity.

How will this change affect CARE?
The corporate rebrand will not affect CARE from an operational perspective.  The day-to-day operation and the service we provide our customers will remain the same.  The only thing that will change is the name.  Instead of being Coface Accounts Receivables Express, CARE will now stand for Commercial Accounts Receivables Express.
